well the avg life of the honda motor not driven to redline or abused (pardon me if your trying to drive it fast but it is a 4 cyl.) is to be around 200-250,000 miles. The clutch life depends on how you shift it, again if you abuse the clutch it wont last as long but if you treat it right it should take you to a good 5-10,000 per clutch maybe more

My apologies the clutch typo was meant to be between 50,000and 100,000. Thank you for catching that!

Everything Ethan said plus: Ensure the timing belt has been changed already. If it hasn't it will need to be changed ASAP. They're generally supposed to be changed at 60K miles. If that belt snaps, it'll be VERY expensive to fix (bent valves, damaged pistons, etc.)

However, I disagree about the clutch (unless he mis-typed). If you are gentle with your clutch, it can last 50K-60K miles. I've gone that far on every car I've owned (I even went to 76K miles on the original stock clutch in an old Corolla I owned). Being gentle with your clutch, means the only time the friction material rubs against the flywheel is when you're in first gear starting out. The rest of the time, if you match revs, your clutch should not be rubbing against the flywheel, and therefore, not wearing at all. That's how I've driven every standard car I've owned, and how I've gotten my clutches to last a very very long time.

That car has an H22A 2.2L dohc v-tec engine wich is a great engine and 90,000 miles isnt alot. The averege life is about 250k to 300k mi. The clutche's life depends on how it has been treated and if it has been replaced, but it shouldnt be due for a new clutch until abuot 130k mi or so.
