it's not a good idea, a few months after the end of the first Iraq war (1991), an ex-pupil from my school went cycling in Turkey close to the border with Iraq, and either strayed or was misdirected over the border! He spent months in jail in Iraq.
I'm sorry folks but I am just watching TV and they are showing a piece of those three Americans who were kidnapped while hiking and I wonder why in the hell they thought it would just be fine to hike around a pariah country and think they would be safe and secure
