im 17 and im very interested in becoming a wildlife rehabilitator. right now im getting my GED, but as soon as that's over with im hoping to get my wildlife rehabilitation license and help wild animals regain they're ability to live they're life's in the wild (where they belong). i've done a lot of research and still cant find out the information i need. does it cost money to get the license? do i have to be 18 or older? what types of classes will i have to take and how long/ many will i have to take?
ive raised baby birds and squirrels along with kittens, puppies, and rabbits. (if your wondering, yes i've made sure each "wild" animal was abandoned. the squirrels, sadly, got they're mommy cut in half with a chain saw. the fish crow i had was very small, just starting to get feathers. he fell from the nest that was located in the pine tree in my front yard. i waited for two days and the parents nor any other crow came to its aid. then large water bandit snakes started popping up. i almost left the crow chick alone so the snakes could eat it {yes that sounds cruel but its the way of life} but my mother thought that was horrible and asked me to care for it. im happy to say i raised it happy and healthy and released it successfully. he's still alive today and has a mate!)
so im educated in wildlife (well, more than most adults i know, anyways) and i make sure to do my reserch but i want to learn and help more. if you have any info on FWC then please help.
