how often would you test?

My husband and I have been TTC for a while now and i feel like I am testing too much.

My cycle is very irregular i never know when AF is going to start. Last 2 were march 2, 09 and then may 20, 09.

I took a test (neg) yesterday, how long should i wait to test again?
 
Sounds a bit like you are trying too hard. You will become pregnant if you test or not. Relax and let it happen. Stress is a big factor in not getting pregnant. You do not want baby making sex to become a chore. So just relax and go with the flow, when the time is right it will all happen.
 
When I am testing I usually try and wait till my period is late. Then if it comes back negative I wait another week and try again. I am currently 2 weeks late for my period and tested 3 days ago and is still negative....good luck! And baby dust to you and me!!
