So after about a year of no sinus infections, I ended up with one last week. I do a nasal saline rinse that my allergist gave me in addition to shots, but I have a bad habit of forgetting about the saline rinse when my sinuses are doing okay. I have put the bottle and the little saline packets in my bathroom to try and be more on the ball about the rinsing, but I was just wondering, how often do you do saline rinses?
Thanks for any advice you can give.

On the box it says you can rinse up to 3x a day if you want, 3-4 hours apart from eachother. And really really helps, one hour before bedtime (as one of the 3x daily)...next day your not so puffy and sinuses are more clear

I have chronic sinusitis so I tend to do it at least once day everyday, and when I want really good relief I'll do it twice a day. I always do it before I go out to a social event or party to...it definitely reduces the puffiness and since my anxiety often henders me from breathing it helps keep my nasal passages clear and clean.

P.S. I guess I would caution using it if you have a sinus infection since, the netipot can spread the infection to other nasal or ear cavities very easily, not to mention the bacterial residue that would end right back on the netipot.

Thank you for your reply. I think I will start using it once a day and see if that makes a big difference.

When I used to suffer from frequent sinus infections, I flooded my sinuses with a mixture of diluted 3% Hydrogen Peroxide, Baking Soda and Kosher Salt, which, although a risky thing to do, eventually totally cured my sinus infection problems. After decades of frequent sinus infections and sinus surgery, I am finally free of that nasty problem and haven't had a sinus infection in many years, and I haven't had to do a sinus flooding or sinus rinse in many years.

Machaon, I notice that my hydrogen peroxide seems to go flat after it's been opened (like carbonated beverages). Does that effect the efficacy of the HP for the nasal rinsing?
