how often should i have an si injection

I just had an SI injection in my left joint last week and it has helped immensely. Does anyone know how often you are supposed to have these injections? My doctor had said something about another one, but do we wait to see if pain returns or do another one to keep pain from returning at all?
 
Hi! I have bad arthritis in my SI joints, and have received a lot of injections. When things were really bad my doctor followed up two months later with an injection, but in general he likes to wait 3 months between injections. Now I am not so bad and have gone 9 months between injections. They really help a lot! Hope you are feeling better. Kera4
