Does anyone else find that really offensive? I had two friends at school, one girl came from a council estate, the other girl had a very middle class upbringing. They both went on to university, the working class girl doing a teaching degree and the middle class girl did classics at oxford. Yet i would say my friend from the council estate is much cleverer, its just that the other girls family pushed her to get into oxford. But who on earth is to say that working class people have a lower IQs? Just look at sir alan sugar, who started off selling things with no higher education and is now worth £800m. And Sir richard branson who started his business empire with just £5 in his back pocket. They are working class people but certaintly not a low IQ. I personally consider myself middle class but i find it appalling how this guy, supposedly a doctor, could be so shallow and immatture. Anyone else agree?
