...chairs, and a buffet be worth? Hi there everyone, I come to you with a question about furniture prices. My mother is moving and wanting to get rid of a lot of her things due to moving into a smaller place. My mom simply wants to just "get rid of it" no matter the cost; meaning she said to me if someone offers her $20 she would take it. I on the other hand have looked up the 7 piece Queen Anne dining set and new it is over 600 dollars. I am unable to find an approximate price on the buffet because she never had a hutch with it and that is all I seem to find is buffet's with a hutch attached. Those are selling new for over $1000. So I am trying to convince her to at least split difference and ask for half of the amounts I have found or that someone here can provide me with. Because yes this is not a new set but it is in pristine condition, no scratches what-so-ever.
I am trying to look out for my mom here in this situation because she is 78 {soon to be 79}, meaning yes she is on a very fixed income and I feel that she really can use to money from the table set. I am NOT looking for anything for myself, I am looking out for my mom who can at times be a little too nice, when she needs to think about her self and what she needs now or whether it be in the future.
I wish there was a place to put a picture of this buffet on this question...I will describe best I can: it is Cherry wood as is the rest of the dining room set, it sets on the floor and has no legs as a table would have. So if you can give me any advice as to tell my mom how much to REALLY sell this all for I so welcome your comments.
