A '91 Ranger is a $1,000-$2,000 truck if it's in good condition. Converting it will cost you many times what the vehicle is worth. You'll never recover the costs when you sell it.

Best bet...sell the '91 and search for a 4x4 Ranger, hopefully with one of the 6-cylinder engines.
