...already have the bearing? I know a mechanic (closed on weekends) who does things fairly cheap. I'm looking to buy a new car, and the one I'm looking at is a 1998 Honda Civic, the only problem is the front left wheel bearing makes a thumping noise (not loud, just bu-dump bu-dump bu-dump). The person selling it to me has the bearing (saw it, in original casing).
How much do you think it'd cost (labor), I mean it's about a 1 hour job or so?
It happened to my Suzuki Swift and it was around $200 for both bearings + labor at Pep Boys (not where I'm bringing it) , what do you think?
