There is such a vast difference in quality in what subs and amps that are available. You could go 200$ for a very cheap system, $600 for a good system, to 1000$+ for an excellent system.

I would not suggest going cheap, you will get what you pay for and you probably won't be satisfied. It depends what you want, find your budget and what you want post additional information we'll try to help.
