How much would it cost to fix my car's hood?

I have a 1996 Dodge Intrepid and my hood got crumpled a little when I rear ended an SUV, other than the hood my car is fine...my mechanic friend told me that it didn't hit anything I just need to hood repaired.

How much would someone charge me just to work the dents out or would it be cheaper to get a replacement hood and have someone put it on the car?
