How much would backpacking around a few European countries cost?

realistically talking....
say you went for two months..
flights, accommodation, food, transport, sights.
would it be really expensive? if so how much do you reckon?
 
Excluding transportation cost.

My rule of thumb is 50euros a day to cover everything.
