How much will it cost to replace rusty parts on bicycle - chain, cables etc?

I'm taking my lifestyle bike in to a bike shop for the rusty bits to be replaced. Most of the bike is fine because it's alloy or stainless steel but some bits aren't and they've gotta go, What should I expect to pay?

Not sure...you should look it up on google, ebay, amazon or something...

Depends on what parts you need to replace
Roughly i'd say (Prices i'm providing are in Aud)
Chain - $8-10
Cables - $15-30 (derailler tune - $20)
You need to provide more parts that need replacing for more details on price

Without knowing the type of bike you will be performing the work on, it would be hard to say. The parts you mentioned like the chain can be bought for as little as $14.99 or as much as $100 and the cables for as little as $5.99 to $70. I think you probably need to get an estimate form the bike shop on your parts you want to replace with labor and then figure out how much you're willing to spend on the bike, depending on the condition of the bike you may want to re-think your options.
