I was in one of the National Parks the other day and was looking at all these hikes you could take. Most all of them take you into back-country, they listed how many hours each hike should take.
I am not a hiker and started to wonder how much water one would have top take on one of these hikes. Is it a litre per hour of hiking?
Is there some sort of formula in figuring out the amount of water to pack with you. If you took too much water it would be extra weight, and if you didn't take enough water you would be terribly thirsty.
