I know there is a coule thousand posts one here asking how much it would cost to paint a car.
I am purchasing a 68' impala that I am looking to restore, so eventually(obvisouly) it is going to need a good paint job.

I am going to be remvoing all of the chrome and badges and masking off everything i can in order to still drive to the paint shop safely, and more than likely mask the rest off when i get there. I also will be sanding the remants of the old paint off and putting POR 15 on and primer. So if all the paint shop had to do was paint. No body work, masking, or anything. How much would it cost to paint my big impala black (with clear coat) im not looking for what would be the cheapest cause i know i would get crap if the paint job cost me $500.00

thank you

I have a 1999 Mustang GT Anniversary Edition. I had it painted at Express Auto Painting, in Lindenhurst, N.Y.. People constantly ask me where I got such a fabulous paint job done. The color is called "Dark Persimmon Metallic", and it doesn't look like anything else I've ever seen. It comes with a 5 year warranty against fading, or flaking. I don't know what the regular charge would have been, but They were running a special when I got it. It cost me $479.95, including the tax.

You have a older car. Most like the is some rust that need to be taken care of. Some of it you will not see it till it is being really for paint. In the body side of the shop. Otherwise it will bubber the new paint. My answer is the same as the other guy. You can call a round to paint shops. They can give you a ball part number. But will need check the car out. Cause they will need to look for rust.
