How much to have 2002 toyota corolla motor rebuilt?

I have a 2002 toyota corolla. 1.8 L 16 Valve engine. I currently just had engine rebuilt and they kept my car for 2 weeks and charged me $4800. 1200 for labor and 2800 for engine and a water pump. Is this a good price? I found a engine rebuild kit for $762. So i figure i was over priced if i was please let me know.

If that kit is 762 and labor 1000 which i understand but i dont know how they got 4800
 
Good price as the engine is pulled and rebuilt so there is a lot of labor at 65-85 an hour.
