what's it doing dodge's have a bad problem with either the input or output shaft speed sensor going out output more than input but either case if one of them goes out then the vehicle will be stuck in 2nd gear eithr sensor is about 25-30$ and it is reccommended that they be replaced in pairs you can measure the resistance across them and should have less than 700 ohm but if you can get even like autozone to run the codes for you and see if you have a sensor malfunction I would start there if that isn't the problem your looking at some serious cash to fix it you just need a 22mm wrench or deep socket to remove either sensor the input is closer to the engine and the output is to the closer to the driver side of the tranny
