How much to fix a blown head gasket on a 1999 Ford Taurus or should I sell it?

Would it be cheaper to sell the car or get it fixed? Is it something I could fix myself? How much would the car be worth with a blown head gasket? It's in good shape and that's the only thing wrong with it.
