how much to charge for an ironing business?

i have just found myself out of work and i am thinking of starting a clothes ironing business from home, but to be honest i have no idea where to start, i want to do it legally, so i want to put myself through the books, i would also need to be insured against damage, can anyone give me any ideas as to what would be resonable to charge for the ironing, how do declare myself as self employed, how to pay what ever taxes i would have, and how and where to get insurence.

im not sure if this can work, but i will give it my best shot

PS...IM IN THE UK SO PLEASE REMEMBER THAT IF YOU ARE GIVING ME ADVICE ABOUT TAXES AND SELF EMPLOYMENT
