...of soil should I buy? I know it is still early to be thinking of spring but I'm going over the Home Depot Website looking for other stuff and I came across everything I'll need to make two 8 foot x 4 foot raised garden beds.

I want to make it two boards high so I would need four "Frame It All 2 Pk. Stacking Joint", six 2 in. x 6 in. x 8 ft. boards, a lot of newspaper to cover the bottom of the box with to help prevent water excessive water runoff, enough soil to fill the box, and some more newspaper to lay on top then cover with a thin layer of mulch to keep weeds down.
How do I deal with compaction of the soil in the box? Do I need to take the compacting of the soil in to account when I plan on how much I'll need to buy?
I know of a landscape company that sells garden soil bulk so I can easily go and pick it up but I'm trying to get my TOTAL COST approximated so come spring, I can just get up and go...
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
