We are first time buyers and are at the end of our escrow process. During disclosure signing seller disclosed that there was mold found 4 years ago under the Toilette in the guest bathroom and they fixed it. However we did found water leak in the other bathroom during our home inspection. The house also smells a little funny. Zillow estimates the house as $585000. The average price for similar houses sold in the area during last 6 months is around $635000. We offered $648000 which is a little above the average. Now we found this mold history, we are afraid that our price is way too high and the resale value of the house will be affected. Will it be possible to renegotiate the price. How much will be a reasonable price to negotiate? The house also has additional problems with termites, rats and roof which seller will fix. Any help will be really appreciated.
