...bushings on a 01 honda civic ex? i just received a quote from a mechanic that it will cost $199 for parts and labor but my husband who is deployed right now said that he thought that was too much. can anyone help me? thank you
 
it sounds about right for the parts. unfortunately honda designed the control arm properties to be an "all in one" package so you have to buy and replace the whole control arm. it makes things easier but more expensive
 
Nope that pretty much the price you will get at a repair shop, however, if you purchase the parts somewhere else and have a handy man or hobby mechanic install it, then you will pay around half that price.
