The car cost $5000 used. I hit a deer. It buckled the hood, busted the radiator, and messed up the front of the engine (the fan, etc.). The guy at the shop said it would cost around 3000 dollars. Not to say that I'm sure that's incorrect, but would I like to know if they are trying to sucker us, if I should take my car elsewhere, or if I should just get another one altogether.
I know I didn't give much information, but I really don't know much about it either. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you, PennRidgeRams. I really do appreciate your input. I'm a college kid and I just can't afford much. The person footing the insurance bills told me I was good to go, but they must have let it go without telling me. (He did just get laid off...) There is one thing I don't get about it though..I just recently got 2010's sticker...I didn't know you could get one without insurance. Times are tough and it's pretty cold here. Murphy's Law seems to be raining down on me. Thanks again.
Anybody know anyone selling a car for about $2000? As long as it is in good shape and is dependable I don't care about anything else. Cold weather is not fun for pedestrians, you know? (especially those who get up a five thirty in the morning..)
