how much should it cost to put tires on my '98 Jeep grand cherokee laredo?

$240? what did you put, used tires on there or total cheapo tires.

Grand Cherokee tires should be over $100 each fur sure
 
Prices will vary from area to area, so check on your drivers door, there will be a white sticker which will tell you the size of the tire recommended for your truck. Call a few shops and ask for a total price, or better yet, stop in at a few shops and ask them . The price will vary quite a bit depending on the type and quality you want on your truck. So you could be looking from 250 all the way up to 600 dollars. Just remember, a cheaper tire usually means a cheaper quality and not always the best option. If you buy a tire with a poor mileage warranty, and have to replace the tires sooner, in the long run, it wasn't cheaper . Weigh the options you plan on doing with your truck- do you drive in snow, rain, mud, plan on putting a lot of miles on the truck, or trading it in soon.
