How much should i spend on a buffet for 25-30 people?

I am doing a buffet for around 25-30 people and was just wondering how much i should be aiming to spend and what i should get food wise, i obviously know the basics but would just like a few ideas thank you in anticipation.
 
It depends on what type of party you are hosting, What Country are you holding the party in? Is it an adult party or children's party? Is it cold or hot food that you are providing. I am currently producing a cold buffet for 50 children and will charge them about £1.50 per head however I am not hoping to make much of a profit. Hope this helps.
 
Most buffets have a variety of food, from Italian to Chinese.
As far as the price, most buffets cost around $25.00 per person.
