How much should I pay a girl to come into our home and feed our cat and fish?

When we go on holiday, I´ve asked a 12 year old to come to our home (she lives 1/2 mile away) and feed our cat and fish every other day. While away she will have to change our cat´s litter one time.

How much per time she comes into our home should I pay her?
By the way, the last time we went away, we had a 38 year old do this job. She not only brought two friends into our home, she brought a dog too. Needless to say, age does not matter, but instead, maturity level.

I'd say £10 a week - that should be enough for a 12 year old....

Half a mile away for a 12 year old can be quite a lot so I would say she would need more of a "I'll give you twenty pound for the whole time"
becuase something like £3 a time doesn't sound that much.
