How much should i offer my friend for his bike? $$$?

My friend has a 2004 K2 mach 1.0 bicycle that he got for his 18th birthday (he's now 21 and doesn't ride it at all). He said that it was bought for $450 and the bike is still in fantastic shape. How much should i offer him for the bike???

Bike fit is very very important on a road bike. If you are both the same size ask him what he wants for it. Start at $175 and stop at $230.
