How much should I know about computer science before going to college?

I'm a sophomore in high school and I plan on getting an undergrads degree in computer science at UMass (idk which one). Im in a tech school, taking computer science, and i want to know if i will be ahead of most people, behind, or at the same level when i go to college. its a public school, and all we do for now is visual basic 6, but nothing special. I'm just wondering because one of my friends brothers was in the same class and he went to umass lowell and apparently he didn't know a single thing.

hmm my friend told me that everything you learned in high school will only be used 10% of your entire college life. so I'm guessing not so much
