How much should I go the gym in a week?

Hey there, am 14 years old if it makes difference. Now I used to(stopped for school etc) go to the gym 5 times a week and it wasnt really a problem for me. However I know that after you workout for set of time like a couple of weeks you start loosing weight slower. Thats why am asking this question.Most people advice to go like 3 times a week.Which is better?Does going less frequent makes you keep burning fats over alot of time if you understand my question. Thnx in advance. Btw am male if it also makes difference.
