I've done a 45 page book in Illustrator. Lots of images. Deadline was 3 weeks. I've spent about 250 - 300 hours on it because of 8 sets of changes/edits the client sent.
I have only done 1 year of study in design and this is my first job. I have charged $200. Here are the pages (some not finished):

The client gave me a draft with simple pencil drawings to follow, (they chose the fonts, designed the info boxes and designed the basic page layouts). they also specified what images were going where (eg. an arrow here, a bird there, etc.) Is it worth $200? More? Less?
Thanks for the answers, guys. I forgot to mention before that the client is jsut a music teacher, and this book will be sold for $10 to maybe 100 students. So they don't have a large budget and probably won't make very much from it. I'm designing 3 more books for them, so maybe I can increase my price for the third or fourth book, once they've had a chance to make some money.
