How much should i buy a 2009 Honda 4d Civic LX for?

I am looking to buy a Honda Civic LX 2009 model.
I know that in NEW condition, off the lot the MSRP is approx 20k and out the door with tax and stuff probably 22. My question is, for those of you who are professionals at car buying/haggling, how much is "fair/good" for me to buy this car for using the "out the door" price?

Maybe some will say "if MSRP is 20k, and if you can get them to do 20k 'out the door' and alarm system included" then it will be a good haggling on my part?

I am not looking for a GPS on the civic, just your normal , standard, automatic 4-door sedan Civic 2009 LX. no particular add ons (i know it should come with AC, auto windows, etc...)'

any suggestions?
 
Yeah. Buy a used car for 10k. Dollar cost average the rest into mutual funds over the next couple of years and then let it grow for the next 20 and put your future kids through University.
