honestly influenced at all by race? I have heard from both sides that some whites voted for McCain solely because they didn't feel comfortable with a black president, and some blacks voted for Obama solely because he is black. In all honesty, did race play favor to Obama in acting as the next "change", or did he get elected based on policies alone as we would all like to believe. Our elections seem to have gotten to the point where we favor the better looking and better speaking president over the qualified. Is this the case in this election? Did we move too quickly into electing an historical figure, or is Obama truly the key Americans saw, in pulling us out of economic strain?
