How much money should I get paid for my photography?

I am an amateur photographer. People have asked me to take pictures of them on photo shoots and stuff but I have no clue what I should charge for my pictures!!! Also, I am putting all the pictures on a disk for them when I am done, not printing.

But normally what does an amateur get paid on average?
