Don't waste your time and money. Get your BS degree in electrical engineering where you can have both an interesting career and be well paid at the same time.
If you limit your scope to becoming a technician, you'll end up doing the work that engineers don't want to do, and you won't get paid for what you are worth.
It's just the facts of life.
