Between 1999 and 2003, Fabbri Publishing published a magazine called Star Trek: The Magazine (STTM). I have a box full of issues dating from October 2000 to April 2003. STTM went out of publication after April 2003. Given that it has now been 8 1/2 years, I was wondering if I could make money off my copies.
I will tell you some details about the magazine and my copies. The magazine sold for $7.99 in stores. I had a subscription, but I don't remember how much it cost (I think it was $25 per year). The magazines are in different conditions: some are in great condition, others are a little worn out. Also, some of the issues are just regular issues; while others are special issues, such as one for the 35th anniversary of the franchise and another for the 15th anniversary of The Next Generation. You can read about the magazine's various features at this link: http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Star_Trek:_The_Magazine .
So far, the only place for selling them that has come to mind is Half Price Books. How much do you think they would pay me? I've sold books and DVDs there before and only gotten 50? to $1 per item, but these are collectibles we're talking about. Are there any places where I could get a better deal? I know about eBay, but I've never done any business there. Finally, would it be better just to wait a few more years?
I appreciate any advice you can give me.
