how much is the going rate to charge for painting the interior of a house?

Does anyone know? Materials put aside.. I'm talking labor.

Am I ridiculous in thinking $50 per wall? $25 per wall? $5 per wall? Or does it go by sq ft?

However it goes, can someone give me estimates? Include as much detail as possible for 10 points! :) thanks
 
There is way more information needed. I would bid by the job, rather than by number of walls. There isn't any way to bid the job without seeing it first though. Is there trim to be painted? What condition are the walls in? What colors are they, and what colors are they going to be? Drastic color changes require priming as well as finish coats. How long has it been since the walls were painted? How many coats are going to be needed? I usually bid $200-225/day/man plus materials. I only use Benjamin Moore paint. It's a bit more expensive, but it covers nicely and holds up well. Hope this helps.
