HOW MUCH IS MY '02 CHEVY BLAZER WORTH WITH A BAD ENGINE IN IT??????

i have a 2002 chevy blazer, with about 54,000 miles on it, but my cars engine is no good. the mechanic (who i trust, and has serviced cars for my family for over 20 years) said that theres some sort of crack in the cylinder. idk whats wrong with it really, i have no idea whats what when it comes to cars lol, thats just what they told me. so basically, i need a new engine.
they also told me my options are pretty much this:

1.get a junkyard engine
2.get a rebuilt engine
3.brand new engine.

i cant afford a brand new engine, itll run me around $5000.

so my question is, how much is my 02 blazer worth with a bad engine in it??

if you have no idea, is there some website i could possibly find this out on?

that's tough call,,,,
an 02 with low miles
new eng is too much for sure.

I'm thinking would get around $1000 for it, maybe.
rebuilt eng ,not cheap ether.
If you have trusted mech,that knows how to get a GOOD junk yard eng, that's prob what i would do.but is kinda crap shoot
If you could get it all done for 1500 or so, thats what i would do.
I know you like your mech,,
But first ! Call some shops that specialize in rebuilt engines and find out what it would cost installed.

Or maybe you should get another used car that gets better gas mileage

If the car is in very good shape and you would like to keep it.
I have had 3 blazers and like them.
 
I would believe at least $3,000... If the body and interior are in great shape, then you should have no problem selling it at that price...
