How Much horsepower Can I expect to gain on a Chevy 250 from 4 barrel intake and

dual exhaust headers? I have a chevy 250 inline and was wondering what kind of gains in horsepower I should expect. The 250 is from a 72 Chevelle.and is rated at 150 horsepower stock. I have seen a claim stating 40 Hp from the 4 barrel intake alone.What can I truly expect? Is that number reasonable?
What about if I use a two barrel carburetor?
