How much harder are scholarships to come by a year after high school?

I'm a senior in High School and I have plans to go to a 4 year college, and I definitely apply for financial aid as my family makes less than 20k a year. However the deadline to apply to FAFSA was a few days ago and other scholarship opportunities are passing by more and more as well. I've let these pass since I'm more leaning toward taking a year off before college so I can work on improving aspects in my own life and getting a job and so on. I'm curious as to scholarship opportunities that would be available to me after a year away from highschool. Would different scholarships like for specific after-school clubs I've been in or classes I've taken be in void by then? Or would I still be able to apply to the majority of them?
