I know with mine I was in a la la land, aware of everything and I did feel the "hose" go down the throat but it didn't hurt just felt it. I'm curious Lindy if you have had it done!

The price varies greatly depending where you live and what insurance you have. My insurance picked up 80% leaving me to pay the remaining $300.

Candy:

They wanted to schedule me for this endoscopy procedure. During this time thay can take biopsies and treat stuff more internally. They are always looking for the "C" word.

For two weeks I kept getting sick on the pre-meRAB. I have researched alot of this stuff on the internet and am now finding other alternative things to do, naturally. I have read blogs from other people having gone through all of the same stuff. There were alot of success stories.

So, I went into Whole FooRAB Market and talked to someone about my research and settled on a new treatment course. I am taking a pharmaceautical grade L Gutamine treatment course... 5 grams 2x day... am/ and at bedtime for the past two days. The pain has stopped and the body is being restored. The reflux is not there anymore. Search "Glutamine" and you can see all of the benefits.... without any side effects. Doctors use this amino acid for all kinRAB of things. The capsules are useless. My L Glutamine powder is pure without any fillers and is by Essential.

Also, my food intake is now avg 1000 calories daily as my strength continues to increase. Also, I will shortly include probiotics and acilldopphilis. Someone told me about DGL an Mastic Gum. But, this Gutamine is not hurting me and will improve my immune system as well as to restore my body taking a hit with all of the GI issues.

Please take a look at the website link... one of many that you can view to see the benefits of this stuff. I'm truly amazed so far with the results in just two days. Of course there are lifestyle and dietary adjustments to make. Anything is better than to go through all of the other stuff that the Dr. wants to do. Most Doctors don't know anything about these kinRAB of things. Trust me. I have been researching them all.

Tell me what you think. Oh... and by the way.... my weight has been holding for the past two days. That's a plus considering that I had lost almost 20 lbs since Nov 6. I was really concerned. It makes sense... that our bodies need to be balanced between being acidic and alkaline. When we are too much in one direction, we do get sick. I am sleeping through the night now... without all of the side effects from the medications. I stopped taking them a couple of days ago, because they were making me sicker.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Well, I never have been diagnosed with anything, I do not have heartburn, or any pain. I just have that stuck in throat feeling or lump. Its hard to describe, I just thought that I wasnt chewing my food right and that unchewed food is slipping away. I have thus avoided anything tough to chew, and lost an averege about 15 pounRAB these last 4 years of suffering.

But I did see that zantac has helped alot. And the funny thing is, that some fooRAB like mashed potatos and fish, though very soft to chew, I had that stuck in throat feeling. So, after trying zantac for 2 weeks, meaning I take it when I feel an episode coming on, it really goes away. So I have absolutely no Idea what is wrong!! I've only was sent for a barium swallow test after telling my gastro doc my issue, it came out normal & nothing further was asked. But maybe I should have gotten a second opinion, I have no idea.

Hi Nancy.... my problem is that I don't have any insurance right now and have been sick for the past 3 wks. I went to a GP Dr last Friday. He said that I may have a beginning ulcer and quickly lost interest in treating me. He said that the cost was prohibitative to do an endoscopy or other tests to rule out the other probabilities for my condition. I've lost 13 lbs just within the past 2.5 weeks because I couldn't really eat anything. I think that I may need some antibiotics. He said no. Since then, I've been reading that ulcers can be caused by a bacterial infection. I still have the pain in my gut. I tried one dose of his Prevacid and it made me sicker with the pain in my gut. My heart fluttered and beat out of sync all night and was up every two hours. Not a good thing. So, I've had nothing for the past few days. I don't know what to do.

Candi,

Acid reflux can give you that feeling in your throat... like it's hard to swallow. Isn't Zantac an antiacid OTC. Also, you may want to have your thyroid checked... a T3, T4 uptake blood test. There is also a simple ultrasound test.... just to check your throat to see if you have any growth nodules on your thyroid or anywhere in that area. I'm putting off any endoscopic stuff... because of all of the complications and drama with the medications. Did you check out the posted websites that I sent to you?

lindy sue ,

Please do not post websites except as described in the posting policy section titled "How to share information".

I would try to get in to see a gastroenterologist who deal only with digestive issues and know way more about it than a GP!

Lindy Sue;

Just curious, did you go for an endoscopy? I have been told that you are "asleep" during the procedure, while others told me you're semi-awake & feel it....which is true? And how long was it? Thanks.

Hi Lindy Sue,

Thanks for the info. Actually, regarding the Gutamine treatment course... , to be honest, I do not understand what it is...is it a supplement of some kind? A diet? What exactly is it?

I just want to be rid of that stuck feeling - you know, I was having a talk with one of my uncle's over th/gvng dinner and he told me that he thinks its my nerves/tensing due to my minor cerebral palsy, and he suggested taking Celexa. I have no idea. I just also feel that maybe it is that - because, even with liquiRAB, at times I feel Like I am swallowing rocks. The whole swallowing to me feels very tense. And though the barium swallow din't reveal a problem, maybe the idea of taking some kind of relaxant might help. I do not know.
