I bought "Spring Valley Omega-3 Fish Oil 1200 mg". Here are the supplement facts.

I've heard that you should NOT exceed MORE than 3g per day. However, the articles tend to be so vague on whether they're referring to the dosage of fish oils in general, or Omega-3 (EPA/DHA).
This recommends I should "take one to two softgels two times daily with a meal". So 4 softgels per day max, which would be 4.8g of fish oil, well over 3g. BUT, the Omega-3 (EPA/DHA) would only be 1.44g, so yeah.
So basically, answer these questions please:
- What is the max amount of fish oil in general I can take per day?
- What is the max amount of Omega-3 fatty acid I can take per day?
