How much faster is biking than walking?

I want to bike to the library and back tomorrow, but I want to know how long that takes. It's 3 miles away, so it'll take 1 hour to WALK, not running or jogging. If I bike there, how long would it take? The road there is not flat at all - its full of hills.
 
I walk to work everyday, and it takes me about an hour. I can make the same trip on a bike in 15-20 minutes.

However, I'm a smoker so this is not a preferred option for me. :)
 
MUUUCH faster but the amount faster depends on the speed you are traveling. Id say it would take about 1/3 the time to get anywhere

Depend on how fast you pedaled and how good you can bike. But I guess, if I was the biker, I could reach there in less than ten min. Yes, it's much faster to bike. Oh, yeah and another thing... I'm a fast biker :D. Perhaps normal speed would take me 15 - 20 min.
