I have a high drive australian cattle dog puppy, and he loves exercise. I've heard it's bad to give them too much exercise, but what is too much? He usually goes to the dog park for 1 to 2 hours a day, then goes on either a 30 minute hike, or an hour walk on level ground. He then has 2 10 minute training walks, and 10 minute potty walks as needed. In addition, he loves fetch and tag, and plays with the cat nonstop.
I've tried not exercising him so much, but then he gets grumpy and whiny. Thoughts? Advice?
