yes you can do that. It costs $30 for internet which is required by at&t for the iPhone. Plus it costs an extra 10 a month for your own phone number but the price of the plan does not increase.

Right now the cheapest iPhone is the iPhone 3G for $99 with a 2 year contract agreement

iPhone's are very expensive monthly. If money is an issue, don't get an iphone. Get an ipod touch and a cheap phone. The average for an iPhone would be $80.00 per month, but a friend of mine (very intelligent business man) who managed to bargain his way down to $25.00 a month with 500mb of data. However, if you want a cheap price, you're going to need to show Apple that you are a good customer, and really bargain your way.
 
My parents both have an iPhone and already have a contract with AT&T and i want to know if I can buy an iPhone and put it on my parents contract and how much would the least expensive iPhone would cost ?
