How much does the "HTC Droid ERIS" for Verizon Wireless cost?

-I have a LG Dare and I want to transfer my phone service from
the Dare to the HTC Droid ERIS but I'm not eligible for a upgrade.

-So, if I bought the HTC Droid ERIS off of Ebay would Verizon know?
