How much does performance Bikes Pay?

If you mean sales people, probably minimum wage. I talked to a lady about a Fuji Newest 3.0. She told me it was a "high end bike that didn't come with pedals"...The 3.0 is a low end bike, and it's supposed to come with pedals....This same store has a 08 Fuji Newest 4.0 on sale for $467 ! That's higher than it was in 08 !

The cycling industry does not pay well in general as there isn't alot of room to pay really anyone all that well for obvious reasons in the current economy or even after it for that matter. I came in early on and started out better than they pay currently at about $7.50 per hour +/- depending on where you start in the store (like a sales associate). Your knowledge base will help you earn more and your technical expertise will have some bearing on that as well but still don't expect to retire on what you will get, a second job will be a necessity too if you expect to live. Performance is a corporation and there are no perks as a part-time employee. The company is doing a great job in adjusting for the current downturn in spending by the consumer and making it as painless as possible for the full time employee too.
Bottom line: if you have experience then you stand a chance to do better and if not, don't expect the world on a platter.
