How much does it cost to take one phone off the family plan with AT&T?

I want to add a phone for one of my kids but I am unsure how long I'll want him to have it.
How much will it cost to terminate it if I decide to just call it quits for that one line?
Currently I have 4 phones with AT&T and have been with them past 4 years.


Or does anyone know any texting-only devices?
