On my 1998 Toyota Corolla, there is a lid to a place where you can store items on the console. It is between the driver and passenger seats. This flips open. The other day, however, the hinges on the lid broke off (when I was putting my new TV in the car, sigh). I called the local dealership and the guy said I would probably have to replace the whole console! This would cost upwards of $200! This seems a bit outrageous to me. Does anyone have any recommendations?
