How much does it cost to lift a 1988 Ford F150 (5 to 6 inches)?

I have an old F150 that I want to lift a little, how much would it cost to get it done at a shop? Is it easy to do it yourself? Would it be cheaper if I did it myself?
 
Well, 5 to 6 inches is a large lift and requires quite a bit of modifications. It is not a job for someone who has not had experience in lifting before. It would be cheaper to do yourself you have experience. Expect a large number, price wise, when you go to a shop.
